Nomenclature of Grades
-
First Alphabet indicates application like
- F=Film
- I=Injection Moulding
- W=Woven sacks
- M=Monofilament
- P=Pipe
- R=Rotomoulding
- B=Blow Molding
- E=Extrusion
- C=Cable insulation grade
- J=Jacketing pipe for OFC
- PB=Black coating compound for steel pipe
To Top -
First & Second Digit number indicates density in gm/cm3
-
3rd Alphabet indicates additives like
- S=Slip additive
- A=Antioxidant
- U=UV stabilizer
- AN=Without antioxidant/ antiblock
- D=Metal deactivator
It also indicates nature of molecular weight like HM=High molecular weight -
Next two digit no indicates MFI of the material in gms/10 minutes.
For e.g
- F20S009:-
F=Film application 20=0.920 gm/cm3 (Density) S=Slip 009=0.9 MFI
